Across the folk magic traditions that have used them — Hoodoo, British folk practice, Caribbean rootwork — the coffin nail is not a symbol of death. It is a tool of closure. It does not mourn what it seals. It does not hesitate. The nail goes in and the cycle closes. Toxic patterns. Relationships that have taken more than they gave. Versions of the self that were built for survival and are no longer needed. In the harder traditions it is also a cursing tool, and in graveyard work it is left behind as a ritual remnant.

Set with a salt and pepper diamond, 3–4mm. These are the diamonds the trade spent a century discarding — included, clouded, dark with the mineral debris trapped inside them as they formed. Read differently, the inclusions are the entire point: no two patterns exist twice, and the stone is a record of its own making. Occult practice has always held that the path is individual, that the marks are the evidence, and that nothing worth carrying comes out clean.

Hand-carved in sterling silver and finished with 23.5K gold through Keum-boo — an ancient Korean gilding technique that bonds gold directly to sterling silver through heat and pressure, without adhesives or plating. The sculptural nail wraps the finger like a ritual artifact.
