Star Diopside is one of the rarest stones in the world — a deep, velvety black that catches the light in a way that defies it. Cut en cabochon, it reveals a perfect four-rayed star moving across its surface, formed by microscopic inclusions of magnetite aligned during the stone's growth. The star is not placed there. It is found.

In Indian metaphysical traditions, Star Diopside is called the "Black Star of India" — a stone of intuition and grief transmuted, carried by those who see in the dark by habit, by necessity, or by calling. It does not soften the view. It steadies the one who holds it.

The Oculus collection takes its name from the eye — the aperture through which light enters, focus sharpens, and what was obscured becomes known. Each ring in this collection is designed as a scrying stone: something worn close, returned to often, a lens for the interior life.

Cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method, then finished with 23K gold applied by hand through Keum-boo — an ancient Korean gilding technique that bonds gold directly to silver through heat and pressure, without adhesives or plating.
