Coffin nails have been used in protective and banishing workings for centuries — driven into thresholds to keep out what doesn't belong, used in graveyard rites and curse removal. They close what refuses to close on its own: toxic patterns, relationships that took more than they gave, versions of the self built for survival and no longer needed. This ring takes that form and wears it.

At the crown, a 4mm dark African amethyst cabochon. Deep violet, smooth-domed, grounding. Amethyst takes its name from the Greek amethystos — "not drunken" — worn as an amulet against being carried away by one's own appetites. It is the correct stone for an instrument this decisive: intuition and spiritual protection, conviction without the spiral.

The nail is cast in sterling silver, hand-carved, and finished with 23.5-karat gold through the Keum-boo technique — an ancient Korean gilding method where gold fuses directly into silver at the molecular level. It does not peel. It does not fade.
