Red has always meant something.

The cross as signet carries authority. In the ancient world, a signet ring was a seal — pressed into wax, marked into contracts, left as proof of presence and power. To wear one was to carry a declaration of identity, of allegiance, of standing. The True Cross Signet doesn't soften that history. It stands in it.

The ruby has been called the stone of kings for as long as kings have existed. In Sanskrit it is ratnaraj — lord of gems. Warriors embedded it into armor not for decoration, but for protection. It was believed to carry its own heat, to ward off what comes for those who are not ready. In nearly every tradition, it is the stone of those who have already decided — who move through the world with a specific kind of fire.

Five rubies occupy the cross: a 3.5mm stone at center, four 1.75mm stones extending outward at each arm. Each one chosen for depth of red — not pale, not pink. The color of something that has made up its mind.

Hand-carved in wax and cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method. Finished with 23K gold through Keum-boo — an ancient Korean gilding technique that bonds gold permanently to silver through heat and pressure. It does not peel. It does not chip. Each ruby is hand-set, one at a time.
