Its most notable feature: a row of hand-pierced holes running the length of the pendant, echoing the poke-and-ink method the symbol comes from.

Carved in wax and cast by the lost-wax method in recycled sterling silver, the wheat-ear ladder is picked out in 23.5K gold laid on by hand using Keum-boo. Down both long edges of the pendant, a line of hand-pierced holes runs the full length — the poke-and-ink mark-making technique itself, translated from skin into metal. No two pendants pierce, cast, or finish exactly alike.
