Kolo Pendant, a handcrafted piece inspired by kolo, the wheel symbol of sicanje — the hand-poke tattoo tradition of Croatia and Bosnia. Kolo marks unity and the circle of life, and traditionally carries whatever it's built to honor — different versions fold in berries, mill-wheel blades, stars, or a cross. This one carries the sun and the moon. Its most notable feature: sun and moon worked directly into the wheel, finished in 23.5K gold.

Carved in wax and cast by the lost-wax method in recycled sterling silver, the wheel is finished with 23.5K gold laid on by hand using Keum-boo — sun and moon set together inside the circle, the sun for the light that drives the day, the moon for the slower turn of the lunar calendar. Strung on a dark cord with a hand-finished bead toggle, in keeping with how a wheel is meant to hang and turn rather than sit flat.
