Moonstone has been worn as a talisman by travelers at night since antiquity — not as superstition, but as a practical acknowledgment: some journeys require a different kind of seeing. Its adularescence, that floating inner light that moves as the stone moves, is not a trick of surface. It comes from light scattering between alternating layers deep within the mineral itself.

In Hindu tradition it is made of solidified moonbeams. In Roman mythology it was formed from the light of Diana herself. In every tradition that carried it, the story was the same: this stone holds something between the visible and the luminous, and it shares that quality with those who wear it.

The Oculus collection takes its name from the eye — the aperture through which light enters, focus sharpens, and what was obscured becomes known. Each ring in this collection is designed as a scrying stone: something worn close, returned to often, a lens for the interior life.

Cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method, then finished with 23K gold applied by hand through Keum-boo — an ancient Korean gilding technique that bonds gold directly to silver through heat and pressure, without adhesives or plating. The result is permanent, luminous, and built to outlast the occasion.
